Printing with silicone ink had advantages: the prints can withstand many washing cycles at high temperature and the print is durable. However: direct printing onto textile with silicone based inks is far from easy. Since the ink is mixed with a catalyst one never knows exactly when the ink starts to cure in the screen. Printing a transfer is easier than printing directly onto the fabric. However: it is very hard to make a cured silicone ink adhere to textile (or other substrates for that matter). We have solved this problem at Aga Color Solutions and with our clever Aga Silicone Transfer System you can produce silicone transfers which are great for sportswear and workwear.
